Analytics & Optimization Associate

Title: Web Analytics & Optimization Associate
Location: El Segundo, Los Angeles, CA
Duration: through end of September, possible extension through October
Availability Requirements: full-time, on-site

We are looking for a analytics and optimization specialist to join our client, a notable full-service agency, to work on managing multiple different creative projects for one of their larger client accounts.

You will use your quantitative prowess to make calculated, actionable database marketing recommendations for some of today’s top brands. You will design and implement advanced analytical frameworks to gather ongoing insights for our clients. Responsibilities will also include utilizing industry analyses and competitive research to benchmark performance and demonstrate thought leadership in the client’s industry, as well as developing marketing dashboards that provide insights and campaign performance analysis.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in developing customized, deep analytical solutions for clients
- Responsible for leveraging trends, methodologies, and best practices within analytics
- Participating in the development of next generation analytical tactics to meet client needs
- Build strong relationships across multiple disciplines and account teams
- Oversee quality of deliverables and work with team to define common, consistent approaches and methodologies
- Leveraging multiple forms of data, you will analyze the success and / or failures of marketing initiatives and create prioritized, actionable recommendations.
- Providing status updates to clients and team members on a regular basis
- Using information gained through prior experience, knowledge sharing with other Analytics and Optimization Associates, education and training to resolve issues and remove project barriers
- Mentoring other Analytics and Optimization Associates specific to campaign development and best practices

Requirements:
- 0-3 years in an analytical role, preferably in a professional services environment and/or related analytical course work
- Knowledge of database marketing and data mining, relational database concepts, analytical and modeling skills
- Excellent quantitative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or other data analysis tools such as Microsoft Access
- Experience with advanced statistical packages such as SPSS or SAS (preferred)
- Experience with online technologies and their applications a plus (preferred)
- Bachelor degree in related field
