Analyst/Sales Planning Specialist

Key role analyzing inventory consumption, production, and availability through interactive communication with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Business Planning groups in support of Company’s Latin American business. The scope of this role is for Notebooks at this time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the allocation process
• Create and maintain and update monthly product allocation and weekly sales status reports by customer
• Manage & monitor monthly demand forecast signals
• Monitor status of purchase orders received, released, and shipped
• Monitor actual sales to plan ensuring timely release of goods to support the business unit. Take steps necessary to expedite supply, utilize existing tools and/or create new tools to communicate availability to sales associates
• Manage the weekly (and daily in the last week of the month) Outlook report to understand and communicate changes for the business
• Actively participate in conference calls, meetings and other communication forums to collect, analyze and track data pertaining to latest forecast plan. Take detailed meeting notes to identify key topics addressed, open items, assigned action and follow up
• Provide senior management with weekly analysis report by country – i.e. run rates, YOY performance, achievements and opportunities.
• Maintain constant communication with the supply team to insure sales is updated on sales orders, changes, ETAs and risks
• Create and maintain complex spreadsheets for analysis, reporting and charting
• Prepare custom data and sales trends analysis as well as supporting senior management on setting weekly and monthly sales plans
• Prepare data analysis by senior management for Quarterly Business Reviews and other presentations
• Inform Territory and Sales Managers about available supply without purchase orders and opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS in Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and related business experience
• 8+ years of experience in sales reporting and analysis, preferably in the high-tech industry
• Superior Microsoft Excel skills. Comfort with Microsoft Access, Word, and PowerPoint
• Good analytical skills, high level of accuracy, and ability to extract data from multiple sources, interpret into information, and make logical or intuitive recommendations
• Ability to make sound decisions on competing priorities and deadlines
• Experience with multiple ERP systems and/or reporting tools is beneficial
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and persuade others with a positive attitude in written or one to one environments
• Possible infrequent (e.g., twice per year) international travel may be necessary
• Bilingual in Spanish is required

This is a 3-6 month temp assignment that could extend indefinitely.
