Analyst/Content Strategist

Leading global consumer electronics company is seeking an experienced Analyst/Content Strategist to take their support and training-based intranet content from good to amazing.

The ideal candidate possesses advanced skills in SiteCatalyst, analyzes data, draws conclusions, and proposes solutions to a global team. He or she will connect the SiteCatalyst metrics-based insights with broader perspectives including familiarity with the site’s content and the dynamics of the global team to create strategies to increase the site’s usefulness.

This person should easily connect with people and uncover the background and context behind the numbers. The selected individual will move fluidly from the big picture to the smallest detail using his/her strong analysis skills.

A great candidate will bring together analytically-derived ideas and a deep understanding of the content and how people find, consume, and digest it.

Custom strategies will include writing tactics to deliver personalized content and site structure suggestions to maximize the site’s usefulness. These strategies should keep in mind scalability, maintenance and our global audience.

This individual will clearly communicate the main takeaways for the global leadership team and summarize the proposed next steps to increase the site’s usefulness. Excellent written communication skills and an open, collaborative attitude will ensure this candidate’s success as he or she engages content writers, engineers, and global leadership.

The ideal candidate will understand the realities of working within a support organization. He or she will grasp the various types of data being collected both within SiteCatalyst and in other systems, envision what reports will be useful to our leadership team based on the available data, and work with a designer to produce these reports.

As an Analyst/Content Strategist, the selected individual will look at the data and tell a story of what it means in relation to the website’s goals. His or her success will be based on strategic thinking and creative execution. He or she must be impeccably organized, have strong project management experience, and communicate clearly and precisely. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are a must.

This role requires consultations, editorial reviews, and content brainstorming with writers. The selected candidate will become familiar with our defined user profiles and consider the goals, desires, and potential limitations of users. Using various forms of provided data, this person will envision dashboard reporting for our leadership to obtain a snapshot of key metrics.

• Bachelor's degree in technical communication, online analytics, or human-computer interaction (Master's degree preferred)
• 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 - 8 years and a Master's degree

• Exceptional understanding and usage of SiteCatalyst
• Amazing research, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Passion to analyze metrics and ability to clearly share insights
• Working knowledge of Excel and/or Numbers
• Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
• Confident presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrates a collaborative spirit and ability to see the big picture and the details
• Experience with working within a global team
• Experience with CMS concepts and processes
• Experience with working within a support-based organization
• Experience working with taxonomies
• Ability to multi-task on several projects, prioritize and deliver on short timelines
• Comfortable with dealing with ambiguity
• Working knowledge of Keynote a plus
• Knowledgeable of the Casper Suite a plus

This is a long-term assignment working onsite.
