Agile Coach

Our client is looking for an Agile Coach to join their digital product development team.

Our client has recently established an E-commerce product development organisation and has rapidly scaled-up it’s product development activities. The teams work fully Agile, using the Scrum process framework with empowered Product Owners. The Agile way of working and Lean product development are relatively new concepts to the company, so consulting, coaching and mentoring is required, within E-commerce product development, as well as in the wider organisation.

The objective of the Agile Coach is to continuously improve product development activities, work towards an optimal product development flow, further expand the definite of done of the product teams, reduce waste in the E-commerce value chain, and generally improve the Agile maturity of E-commerce and improve Agile awareness within other the company's overall business functions. The Agile Coach is expected to further scale-up the Agile way of working within E-commerce, work with all stakeholders to further expand the team’s definition of done, act as Guild lead for the Scrum Masters and as coach to the other Guild leads (i.e. the tech-lead, test-lead, design-lead, SA-lead etc.). In addition, the Agile coach is expected to evangelize Agile in the wider organisation, and act as a change agent within the entire organisation.

Responsibilities include:

• Be an evangelist for the Agile culture and take a lead role in ensuring the continued success of Agile product development and delivery
• Expanding the Definition of Done of the Scrum teams
• Coach the Scrum masters and other Guild leads within E-commerce
• Coach the E-commerce management team
• Coach ‘traditional’ program- and project managers in the domain of combining the Agile work streams with parts of the business that are still in Waterfall mode
• Find the optimal way to scale-up Agile product development with multi-site and offshore teams
• Perform Agile workshops for a variety of audiences, and work closely with all areas of the business to propagate the Agile way of working
• Apply mechanisms for continuous improvement
• Optimize the E-commerce value chains: apply Lean thinking to remove any form of waste
• Occasional travel to the UK may be required

We are looking for candidates with the following skillset:

• Certified Scrum Master
• Certified Product Owner
• Agile Coach training (nice to have)
• Leading SAFe (nice to have)
• Certified LeSS Practitioner (nice to have)
• PMP or IPMA certifications (nice to have)

Other requirements:

• 2+ years experience in an Agile coaching capacity, working with a minimum of 4 Scrum teams, within a large corporate environment
• 2+ years working experience in a dedicated Scrum Master role
• 1+ years working experience in a dedicated Product Owner role
• 3+ years working experience in a Project- and/or Program management role within a large corporate environment
• Experience with Project and/or Program Management, software delivery within in a large corporate environment
• Experience working with Agile product development teams
• Experience with traditional project management methodologies, i.e. Prince2.
• Solid stakeholder management skills
• Acting as change agent
• Have an good understanding of SAFe, LeSS and the Spotify model
• Technically strong, across multiple roles within digital product development
