Agency Account Manager

Great opportunity for an experienced agency Account Manager to join a growing team. Must have either retail environment or photo studio experience. As an Account Manager you will leverage a combination of design offerings, strategy, digital and production work, to manage and grow existing client business. The Account Manager leads clients and programs and seeks opportunities to actively pursue and procure profitable business for the company from the assigned clients through a consultative selling process. In this process the account manager will professionally represent agency and successfully collaborate with internal and external partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Services

  • Manage the creative, design and strategy process for clients and company on specific projects
  • Closely communicate with clients and lead the development of SOW’s, RFE’s and client pitches
  • Closely communicate with internal customers to coordinate program objectives and coordinate kickoff meetings
  • Engage clients in dialogues on new products, technologies, planning and solutions
  • Form strong relationships with key clients based upon an understanding of their businesses and their goals
  • Plan client growth annually and quarterly through a combination of knowledge of the clients marketing plan and agency's capabilities
  • Collaborate with assigned Project Manager to ensure project completion is on budget, on time and on quality
  • Manages the program budget, ensuring estimated profitability is maintained. Makes adjustments as necessary
  • Invoice for Design-only projects
  • Forecast client work based on known projects and future opportunities
  • Conduct programs post-mortems, identify trends and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful project elements
  • Maintains project records for future reference
  • Assist in NBD efforts as directed to help secure new strategic relationships
  • Properly demonstrate agency's value proposition

  • Must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of marketing in store industry products, services and processes
  • Baseline knowledge of creative marketing processes and practices
  • Proficient program management skills including time management and superior organization skills
  • High level influencing skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • An understanding of program profitability and the ability to negotiate
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal and interpersonal

  • Requirements: (physical demands, experience, training, skills or education)
  • Minimum of five years in a client services, account management or project management capacity, preferably in the retail, marketing or digital industry or equivalent experience
  • 4 year college degree, preferably in marketing
  • Proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills; listening, engaging others, recording details, interacting with a variety of personalities in an effective and positive manner
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Possible travel required for client meetings
  • Effective problem solving ability
  • Sound critical thinking skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
