Ad Operations Manager
Role Purpose

My client is looking for a highly-motivated Ad Operations Manager (AOM) who wants to be part of a world-class service organization. The Ad Operations Team is responsible for the implementation and execution of advertising campaigns for my clients advertising clients. In addition to managing the implementation and execution of online advertising campaigns, you will leverage your project management skills to lead critical business initiatives and projects. As an AOM, you will also work with cross-functional teams to solve client problems, improve processes, and influence platform development. The AOM also acts as a source of information to Sales for all matters relating to campaign implementation & execution whilst ensuring process and policy compliance.

Success in this role relies on accurate data handling and technical skills coupled with well developed and systematic problem solving skills. A concern for high quality customer service and teamwork are also critical to successful performance. Knowledge of Account Team process, tools and policies are essential for effective performance in this role.

Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Accountable for the successful launch of advertising campaigns
• Interface directly with direct clients/agencies to receive, test, and implement advertiser creative
• Manage and conduct all implementation aspects for designated accounts including client
and order setup, inventory reservation, and order optimization
• Project manage strategic initiatives either individually or by leading a virtual team to deliver high impact business results;
• Investigate and resolve operational queries from client/account team, including inventory, creative assignment and tracking discrepancies.
• Bring exceptional attention to detail to the execution of all tasks and maintain a high level of accuracy in the end to end operational process
• Understand and anticipate Account Team needs for information and/or data and proactively supply as needed
• Ensure creative quality by enforcing standard policies and procedures
• Maintain data quality and integrity, whilst remaining compliant by booking orders and reviewing contracts in accordance with the UK Sales Pricing and Policy controls
• Co-ordinate daily with team members to manage team workload
• Help foster innovation and thought leadership in tool and process development;
• Review and provide feedback on new processes, product, and tool releases that will improve operational efficiencies
• Creative consultation with key creative agencies, vendors and operational teams within our strategic agencies


Key Success Criteria
1. Implement and execute all campaigns within the required SLAs
2. Adhere to and comply with all Sales Process & Policy requirements
3. Manage all Operational exceptions and approvals to the required standard
4. Submit enhancement requests for future tool releases within deadlines


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

1) Essential Experience
• Online advertising experience strongly preferred
• Experience working in a service organization preferred
• Project management experience preferred

2) Operational Skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office and HTML required
• Online campaign inventory knowledge preferred
• Working knowledge of online advertising technologies required
(Flash, JavaScript, DHTML, Streaming Video, etc)
• Familiarity with online advertising products required (Eyeblaster, Pointroll,Motif etc)

Proven ability to:
• Multi-task & work under pressure
• Understand sales support and customer needs
• Build ongoing relationships
• High attention to detail and excellent follow through
• Passion for digital advertising, customer service, teamwork and business results

4) Qualifications
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required
