Advertising Manager

Our F500 financial services client is looking for an Advertising Manager for a 6 months+ contract role, with potential for extension or full time hire. This is an onsite 40 hours/ week position in downtown San Francisco. Contractors have enjoyed a work life balance and working with positive, highly skilled professionals.


Responsibilities:
Uses knowledge and experience directing all facets of advertising creative development, research & testing, production, media planning & buying, and agency management to deliver advertising supporting the Company brands and individual lines of business.
Manages all advertising activities to ensure effectiveness, deadlines are met, and projects are within budget.
Seeks opportunities to integrate advertising with other marketing communication activities and channels.
Focuses on financial stewardship through careful project estimation, invoice processing and budget management.
Recognizes growing focus on quantifying advertising effectiveness and seeks ways to do so.
Works closely with external and internal agency partners to produce and place advertising. Possesses thorough knowledge of agency structure and processes for the planning, development, production and placement of advertising. Recommends appropriate agency resources based on scope of the project, budget and timing.
Provides direction and feedback to agencies professionally and in a way that demonstrates partnership and a respect for the creative process.
Professionally represents Company to external vendors/organizations as needed.


Experiences and Skill Sets:
Experienced in working with all media types such as TV, radio, print, outdoor and digital.
Utilizes problem solving capabilities to resolve discrepancies and facilitate approvals.
Agency experience is very important. International/global experience preferred. Financial services experience also important.
Must be able to understand internal clients' business and advertising needs, question pre-assumed directives in favor of best possible solutions, and effectively present viable advertising recommendations with authority.
