Ad Inventory & Yield Analyst

This position is responsible for reviewing and approving all advertising campaigns, forecasting site and sponsorship traffic, managing ad inventory levels, assisting in campaign optimization, and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and members of the Sales team. Requirements for the position include experience forecasting online advertising media or experience in a comparable analytics role. The candidate must have expertise manipulating, analyzing and reporting on large data sets using a multitude of disparate data sources and tools. Qualified candidate must be able to deliver on multiple projects over multiple timelines with flawless customer-centric focus. The candidate will demonstrate a combination of business and technical skills with proven written, verbal and analytical communication skills required.

• 2-3 years of professional experience including experience in online advertising inventory management, web analytics, business analysis or comparable analytics position.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience manipulating large data sets, interpreting data trends and reporting results, verbal or written in a clear and effective manner
• Proven ability to communicate and partner with various groups within an organization such as Media Planning, Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Ad Producers, Site Producers, Ad Systems, and Account Management teams
• Experience forecasting online advertising inventory or forecasting in comparable industry such as hospitality or finance
• Working knowledge of advertising industry

• Knowledge of Office skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced features in Excel considered: pivot tables, complex formulas, conditional formatting)
• Translate large data sets into consolidated and readily communicated results
• Experience working with ad serving and reporting tools, preferable experience with web analytics tools (such as DoubleClick, Omniture, etc.)
• Knowledge in relational databases
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Self starter, ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly
• Ability to work effectively with many different work groups (Media Planning, Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Ad Producers, Site Producers, Ad Systems, Account Management)

This person will have to track and manage that inventory, provide reports etc. They will be fielding requests from Ad sales (pre sales focus). Lots of reporting from sales force (trafficking, delivery etc). They work closely with mobile and social groups. Want someone who is really analytical but has good communication and common sense. Decent proficiency in excel, more for pivot tables.
