Our client is seeking an awesome Account Director! If you think you’re that person, please read on.

Our client is a growing independent marketing / advertising agency with national and international name brand clients, and they’re looking for an account director who can lead a key account. If you’re an Account Supervisor and are ready for the next big step in your career and want to move to an agency with no boundaries, this could be it.

About the Position
Don’t call it advertising.This is about marketing, business and operations innovation, not just running an ad campaign.
The ideal candidate will essentially have all the skills of being a "mini- CMO"—but will sit on the agency side and thus be able to wear flip flops as equally as grown-up shoes.
Acquisition. Retention. Referral. Operations. Advocacy. 3 month plans and 3 year plans for how we help steer the client’s business.
Internally, you will be given every resource you need to make things happen—solid creative directors and strategists who are right and left- brained, great ideas, a willing client, and financial incentives for you based on how the agency and the client’s business performs.
While you "change the business" you'll also be "running the business" for the client.
So that means schedules, resources, prioritization, getting existing marketing campaigns out—so all the basics of multichannel campaign management apply.
You’ll have a support team to help you get sh*t done, and you’ll also have the undying support of the agency founders at every step. You’ll report to the founders ... with an artistic, curvy, pencil dotted line to the LA office managing director.
ESSENTIAL TRAITS
- 3+ years in a senior position in advertising or marketing agency or on the client-side (or similar), but a sense that you were destined for more in life
- Experience and understanding of direct response—both in the traditional and digital world
- Ideally, medical/dental, automotive or airline/travel category experience a huge plus
- Ability to dive into data and pull out creative ideas
- Ability to be primary client relationship person, with freakish levels of ESP to know what they’re thinking and feeling (even before they do)
- Plan, manage resources, basecamp, .XLS, etc.
- Present with verve and confidence and command attention
- Find something fun, inspiring and awesome in every day, and share that vibe with people around you
