Account Project Coordinator

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the management of a production department(s) within the operation. This includes overseeing the ongoing production process with a focus on productivity, quality, process engineering and health and safety. You will focus on maintaining and managing the growth and development of business through the execution of strategic and tactical objectives and will report to the VP of Operations.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Results

Leadership/Coaching

 Establishes objectives for direct reports that support and link to the achievement of profitability targets.

 Executes all initiatives on time, on budget.

 Ensures team members are meeting customer needs.

 Develops and implement processes to measure progress and success of the department(s).

 Utilizes information and data to make recommendations to VP of Operations on all matters including but not limited to labour, costing, headcount management.

 Provides leadership, motivation, coaching, strategic guidance and personal development plans for all

reports and ensures same for indirect reports.

 Ensures appropriate assessment, identification and planning for personal development in conjunction

with human resources

 Proactively identify gaps and close them through supporting cross training.

Quality Assurance & Reporting

 Oversees quality and scheduling areas to ensure alignment with operational and customer requirements.

 Ensures quality procedures are implemented and maintained by reviewing quality on a daily basis.

Productivity Management

 Maximizes the efficiency of the department including equipment and employee time to maximize

productivity levels.

 Oversees and coordinate overall activities such as customer service, back end operations to effect operational efficiency and economy.

 Establishes systems and procedures with each of the cell leads to improve plant-wide communication, employee morale and productivity.

 Participates in key meetings with all funcitional departments.

 Establishes meetings to ensure management of outstanding issues to timely completion.

 Actively supports program of health & safety at the plant and providing solid support to safety committee

Health and Safety

 Responsible for work in a manner which is consistent with all applicable the clients health and safety policies and work procedures, and responsible of asking manager and/or Health and Safety Committee about any health and safety issues.

 Participates in the continuous company health and safety program by identifying health and safety hazards to manager and/or Health & Safety Committee and providing feedback and constructive ideas regarding such hazards or regarding other safety policy.

Competency Requirements

Educational Experience Minimum Requirements

This position requires the following knowledge and skills:

 University/College Degree and/or completion of Graphic Communications Post-Secondary Program

 Minimum 5 years proven experience in the Graphic Industry.

 5-7 years of proven plant/operational management experience.

 Strong communication skills (oral & written).

 Proven team leader.

 Excellent execution skills.

 Strong organizational and time management skills.

 Knowledge of Pre-press a definite asset.
