Our Seattle client is looking for an energetic, technically savvy, and seasoned sales and business development manager for their mobile content business. As the Business Development Manager, you will execute against our aggressive content acquisition goals. An ability to build, develop, and manage a valuable deal pipeline is crucial. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through, the ideal candidate will be highly goal-oriented, focused on achieving ambitious targets, and able to operate independently. This position is on a small team in a fast-paced environment so being flexible, handling ambiguity, having a strong work ethic, being a self-starter, and maintaining a good sense of humor are all a must.

Role Responsibilities:

As the Business Development Manager you will:

- Prospect, recruit, and maintain relationships with vendors/developers.
- Create processes for asset acquisition, data input, and implementation.
- Manage relationships and communicate progress to managers and cross-functional teams.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations.
- Represent the client with vendors and work with all relevant cross-functional areas to guarantee effective communication, implementation, and execution of objectives.
- Conduct deep dive analysis and provide routine executive-level reporting on current status of pipeline, business, and future opportunities. Build recommendations and action plans based on data.
- Exceed customer expectations by going above and beyond.
- Maintain expertise on client, vendor, and competitor products and services.


Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in sales, business development, managing external accounts and/or projects
- Experience with Excel and Access, or similar database
- Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com
- Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:
- Mobile industry experience highly encouraged
- History of effectively prospecting, recruiting, and managing external customers and successfully working with internal teams to build new capability and implement projects
- Strong negotiation and sales skills while executing corporate strategy
- Comfort with and demonstrated success in negotiating complex and high-value agreements
- Proven ability to build and maintain high-level vendor relationships (e.g., Director and VP level)
- Excellent customer experience intuition: demonstrated success in delivering a world-class customer experience (ideally in the digital content industry)
- Strong analytical orientation: comfort using databases and analytical tools and making data-based decisions
- Ownership orientation: ability to internalize goals, create appropriate action plans, and display a proactive, self-starter approach
- Strong problem-solving skills: the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and appropriate tactical plans quickly
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
- Comfort working with a broad range of technological productivity and work-flow management tools including SharePoint, Excel, and Word
- Meticulous attention to detail: the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
- Self-motivation and a strong bias for action: the ability to hit aggressive productivity goals without micromanagement
- Strong communication skills: the ability to partner with internal team members effectively
- Street smarts: willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
- An ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire team
