Account Manager - Packaging

A global packaging company in Portland Oregon is looking for an account manager to work with two of their largest clients. The perfect person will have a combination of print/packaging experience, global supply chain experince, and finally the ability to work directly with fortune 100 clients. ACCOUNT MANAGER- PACKAGING
The Account Manager will be responsible for interfacing with internal and external Brand stakeholders for packaging-related projects and packaging program initiatives. They will also be expected to identify new business opportunities related to packaging within existing Brand clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely to support existing Brand Account Management team on packaging-related programs and initiatives.
  • Provide a high level of account support and customer service to key Brand contacts.
  • Assist with development and tracking of project timelines in support of new designs, implementations or additional processes and programs of Brand client projects.
  • Maintain and develop relationships, and understand specific client material needs for designers, developers and category leads at designated Brand client.
  • Provide support to operational teams to resolve material issues relating to production, sourcing limitations, timelines and inventories.
  • Qualify new projects and collaborate with OIA internal teams to identify risks and advantages of potential business.
  • Communicate with designated levels of management and personnel the nature of the projects, and all problems as well as their handling and resolution.
  • Keep management apprised of all new developments and situations.
  • Attend meetings and perform other duties as required by management


  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor Degree and 3-5 years of experience in the packaging industry, project management or product development.
  • Working knowledge of Asia-based supply chains.
  • Advanced project management skills and the ability to manage multiple high-level projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with a cross-cultural and customer service focus.
  • The candidate must have the ability to exercise independent decision-making with outstanding organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills in word processing and advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must possess intermediate to advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent reasoning, negotiation and listening skills. Must be able to adapt to changing environments and work well with a variety of people and customers in a cross-cultural environment.
