Vibrant, consumer focused boutique PR Agency has an opportunity for a strategic Account Director to join their team. This is an ideal role for someone who would like to commit to 3 or 4 days a week on a permanent basis. A varied client basis, emphasis in creative design / interiors.

Our clients mantra is to inspire to work with brands that genuinely excite and play to the teams personal passions. They are committed to their clients, consumer by their industries and talk their language but this is a company that also values wellbeing and interests outside of work. Both partners have done the hard yards in the agency world and are building a unique business with work / life balance at the heart.

This is not a fluffy PR role, our client adopts a 'tell it how it is' attitude. From the initial meeting they take their clients every step of the way, quick and realistic to recognise hurdles and present solutions. With a creative spirit they challenge their clients to push the boundaries and relish the opportunity to present creative not cookie cutter campaigns.

What's Expected:

Be responsible for the development of strategic communications plans
Day-to-day management of their client's communication programs
Building and growing client relationships; leading, coaching and developing account teams
Providing counsel to senior clients and project and financial management of client accounts.
Evaluate each account to ensure the client is getting the best results from the whole team and present ideas to the Directors for creating new or building on existing campaigns
Take an active role in the development of new business, creating opportunities to network and meet with potential new clients
Work with the Directors to develop and present new business pitches
Manage a portfolio of client accounts, focusing on campaign execution and delivering value
Manage and oversee weekly tasks of junior and support staff, providing clear direction and deadlines

You wil be:

Proficient in devising PR and marketing strategies for consumer brands and organisations
Strategic direction on key accounts including managing senior-level relationships with clients
Attention to detail with budgets and overseeing client billing on projects
Exceptional written communication skills for marketing and media purposes
Strong network of industry media contacts, spanning traditional (ideally in news, small business, entertainment and design) as well as broadcast and digital channels
Solid knowledge of and experience in social media strategy and content creation
Solid understanding of blogger outreach programs and activities
Responsible for every aspect of a client’s account including ongoing strategic direction, growth, campaign execution, client satisfaction and account profitability
Be confident in negotiation and conflict management
Have an excellent understanding of online, print and broadcast media and well developed network of national media, blogger and influencer contacts in order to support other staff
