Account Director in Staffing Working With Consumer Packaged Goods Clients

This deep dive into understanding our clients’ needs, trends, challenges and future growth possibilities means that we're in need of phenomenal Strategic Account Directors who can partner closely with a small number of our most important Fortune 500 Clients and our internal team to bring our service level to new and dizzying heights.

Here’s the lay of the land on an Account Director's responsibilities:

● Primary responsibility is growing top-line revenue within a set list of assigned clients
● Focused attention on clients, buyers, emerging issues and challenges in corporate accounts
● Identifying and acquiring new buyers and departments billing within Fortune 1000 CPG companies through referrals, networking, sales calls, in-person client meetings and use of social media
● Leveraging Aquent senior management to client contacts to leverage high level, peer-to-peer relationships
● Gaining an in-depth knowledge of accounts and contacts garnered through daily interaction, searches/feeds, data available on the client, connections through LinkedIn, Twitter and other applicable resources
● Clearly identifying, targeting and maximizing opportunities
● Generating new clients billing by working an industry-focused sales funnel

The person we need can:

● Understand business challenges facing manager-, director- and VP-level contacts within the Fast-Moving Consumer Packaged Goods industry
● Consistently follow a formal sales process and maintain a healthy pipeline
● Develop, lead and update account strategies for designated accounts
● Excel in a high-activity, metrics-driven environment, consistently conversing with 50+ client contacts and holding 6+ client visits each week
● Develop and manage relationships with key contacts (Senior Level Marketing, Web and Creative Services Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Diversity, Finance and HR)
● Respond to contracts, pricing and RFP’s; Manage agreements and contract compliance
● Lead quarterly and annual client reviews as well as project debriefs
● Maintain focus and high productivity with minimal in-person management
● Document sales activities and communicate effectively with teammates to achieve desired results
● Navigate the terrain of the greater NY Metro area – including Manhattan, Northern Jersey, Connecticut and Westchester County – to build in-person relationships with our clients, and occasionally (less that 20%) hop a plane for a visit in other parts of the US

And has:
● A 4-year degree and 5+ years of sales experience. (Ideal sales background is selling to Marketing or Creative Services functions, professional niche staffing environment, or business to business sales of service products like outsourcing or consulting)
● Past quantifiable success in selling and expanding multiple large and mid-sized accounts
● Proven track record of exceeding goals in metric driven sales cultures
● Formal sales training (Miller Heiman, SPIN Selling, etc.) in the arsenal
