Account Director Job - Integrated advertising

Our client is an independent, truly integrated creative agency based in North Sydney. Now after a few successive wins they have a newly created Account Director position on 2 of the agency’s flagship clients.

About the agency
While not a family business, this successful agency has retained the small business, family feel. Operating completely independently from any multi-national network, they are nimble enough to communicate early, collaborate often and celebrate together. Collaboration & respect for each other’s unique abilities has resulted in them producing some of the most memorable creative campaigns.

The role
This job will see you as the lead across 2 of the agencies biggest clients. For both high profile brands this agency produces varied and consistently creative work. You will be running campaigns across TV, radio, OOH & digital channels (including DM and eDMs). You’ll have the support of an AE across all day-to-day executions, and will report directly to the MD and a Business Director.

You will own the relationships with key clients and will operate as the senior point of contact. Your strategic insights will influence operational plans and help balance client’s expectations.

This role will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your significant client relationship experience. Your background in advertising, design or marketing will give you the knowledge to confidently and persuasively present creative projects to clients. You’ll be given the opportunity to flex your strategic skills in finding the best creative solutions for the team. As you’ll be working with the agency’s two key clients you’ll have access to the most senior creative and strategic resources on the team, allowing you to consistently deliver best-in-class advertising for your clients.

Key skills required – The usual suspects here
• Effective team leadership and management experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A passion for the details – if you’re a bit of a nerd with a spreadsheet and love owning your budgets, you’ll fit right in
• Strong knowledge of all creative processes across digital, design, advertising and marketing
• As the clients are based in Melbourne, you would need to be available for local travel
