Our client, a small ad agency in Boston, is looking for an Account Director; someone who has experience running and leading! This candidate would work on multiple nationally well-known clients. 5-7 years of experience in an agency environment required!

The AD will lead the development of holistic advertising and marketing communications campaigns that fulfill the agency’s Mission, and to play a key role in developing the next generation of account management talent at the agency. The AD must have excellent written and oral communications, and the ability to motivate a diverse group of other team members to execute projects.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and maintain strong working relationship with Client counterparts at multiple levels; has a strong presence and partners with client to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and measure results
• Responsible for providing clients expert implementation of programs on the specified accounts, and to guide others in their implementation work
• Translate client requirements into agency requirements and provides clear documentation such as statements of work and internal and external briefing documents
• Lead and partner with strategy, creative, and media teams (internal and external) in the development of the agency’s recommendation for the advertising mix to be used and the creative approach to be taken
• Must have outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to create and review estimates/scopes of work and monitor budgets and financial reports independently, with no oversight
• Partner with project managers and production to handle seamless internal workflow while maintaining focus on long term agency growth and development
• Recommend ways to improve internal agency process and create efficiencies


MUST HAVES:
• 5-7 years in an ad agency environment
• MUST BE solution oriented – constantly challenging yourself and others around you to come up with solutions based on internal and external parameters
• Experience working with clients and building relationships
• Integrated experience and/or special expertise in any one given area is plus- digital advertising, websites, social media, broadcast and/or branding
• Clear understanding of the unique needs of a smaller agency environment
