We are an independent, branding and design company specializing in high-impact, integrated marketing solutions. We are looking for an Account Director to join our team. The role of the account director is one of managerial leadership. This role requires an understanding of all aspects of workflow but does not necessarily require the individual to actively participate in the day-to-day process. This is a leadership role whose purpose is to manage and run account teams and guide all relationships, internally and externally. This is a senior leadership position. The typical timeframe in this position is up to 10 years but varies by individual. 


 
JOB DESCRIPTION/DELIVERABLES: 

• Assist in the development & implementation of staff training and support 
• Provide recommendations to the SVP for more efficient/effective processes 
• Lead the strategic direction of accounts incl. the development & review of marketing, branding, strategy briefs and plans 
• Supervise all account managers at every level. Develop road map for success 
• Manage account team activity & forward-moving progress of client business 
• Maintain direct contact and relationships with clients 
• Proactively find solutions for client challenges 
• Support new business proposal development and responses to RFIs/RFPs 
• Receive client briefings & analyze client input with team 
• Effectively present/sell plans, briefs, creative, media plans & proposals 
• Manage billing, revenue/margins, client budgets & Agency P/L 
• Authorize all SOWs, project plans & estimates prior to client presentation 
• Assist in the tracking & analysis of the success or shortcomings of all initiatives 
• Manage and run each account and account team as a business 
• Guide all relationships (internal and external) 
• Advocate and guide integration and collaboration internally 
• Manage the cross functional teams across the agency 
• Partner with account creative leads to drive effective, results-minded creative 
• Results-oriented, establish and drive business metrics and analytics for agency and relationship success 
• Support SVP in all aspects of the growth and development of the dept. 
• Development of strategic plans and client proposals 
• Guide and support new biz with RFI/RFP responses and presentations
