Vitamin T is currently looking for a junior resourceful and entrepreneurial-minded Account Executive to join our client's team. Our lcient is a small and seasoned team of business strategists, creative and technology professionals, who are very passionate and driven by their work. They don’t believe in red tape or big egos and love rolling their sleeves up and getting their hands dirty.

Our client is looking for someone who has at least 1-2 years digital agency or client side brand management experience, working on a variety of initiatives including but not limited to website or app development projects, marketing strategies, CRM, and ecommerce.

This person will report directly to the Account Director, and assist in handling between 2-5 clients at any one time. Our clients office is located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.

Key Skills

Client Relationship Management
The Account Executive must work with the Account Director to:
• Earn and keep each clients’ respect and confidence as a trusted advisor
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of, and be conversant in, each clients’ business – their key issues, competitive situation and industry trends
• Demonstrate confidence and authority as the day-to-day voice of the agency team
• Effectively balance the dual expectations of your clients and the agency

Analytic and Planning Abilities
An Account Executive in this role must:
• Display curiosity and a willingness to push your own thinking and the agency’s work in new directions
• Be resourceful enough to “figure it out” with little to no information
• Clearly establish objectives and priorities for client initiatives
• Help develop, articulate, and adhere to, agreed upon strategies

Organizational Skills
The Account Executive must demonstrate an ability to organize workload and workflow.
• Support the Account Director by effectively planning and organizing the work – handling multiple projects efficiently, effectively and productively
• Provide support for oversight of agency resources to insure projects are delivered as promised in terms of time, budgets and results
• Identify, classify, categorize and be able to retrieve information as required by you or agency team members
• Prepare thorough, accurate and consistent work to clients reflective of the agency’s quality standards
• Be able to adapt to workload and working conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor

Written Communication Skills
The Account Executive must be able to write clearly and persuasively.
• Provide clear, thorough written direction to staff
• Deliver concise, accurate and actionable accounts of key client discussions
• Prepare accurate and timely internal communication: creative briefs, job starters, change orders, media plan requests, buy authorizations, timelines and estimates
• Prepare accurate and timely external communication: conference reports, recaps, timelines, estimates and weekly status reports
Intangible Skills

Since their office and team is small, there will also be duties and tasks assigned that fall outside of account management. The Account Executive should:
• Be flexible, to handle a variety of work on any given day
• Be adaptable, to work with different leads for each assigned project
• Be resourceful, to dig in and problem solve, or ask the right questions to get the answers needed
• Be a strong listener, who always thinks about the larger picture and all implications prior to making decisions
• Have an endless willingness to learn, and ask for help and advice, recognizing there is always room to grow
