Summary: Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED - preferred. 2-4 years customer service related experience required.

Skills and Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Resolve customers' service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills. Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments. Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation. Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.

This is a strict contract for 3-4 months, covering for an employee going out on maternity leave. There is a slight possibility for extension, but no possibility for conversion to permanent. The manager is looking for someone who is detail-oriented, personable, and can work independently. There will be some customer interaction in this position, of course, but a bulk of the job is also helping on the administrative aspect in the office. The weekly responsibilities will be to help coordinate sample drop off/pick up with major department store and sample shipments to retail outlets. The candidate will also help with weekly ROS Reports, update replenishment demand recaps, work on Business Objects Reports and other requests. The market responsibilities will be to assist with showroom schedules, sample organization, and their order entry system (POP = Preliminary Order Process). There will be some brief training.
