Accessibility Analyst

Our global software client is looking for an Accessibility Analyst to join their team. This position can be remote or onsite in the greater Boston area.

This accessibility analyst will be responsible for performing accessibility assessments in the form of VPATs for many of our client's products, and provide accessibility guidance to the development teams.
Their products are highly technical in nature. You will need to have a genuine interest in technology and willingness to dig into the details of these technical products to understand its intent, underlying user expectations, and potential inconsistencies to come up with solutions that match the needs of disabled users.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) based analysis of existing software for adherence to Section 508 requirements.
- Provide detailed explanations of what accessibility issues a product has
- Understand and communicate fixes for accessible products to the development team
- Work with the Quality Engineering (QE) team on how to continually test for accessibility as incremental work is done

Required skills:
- Can use JAWS or another screenreader proficiently
- Has performed VPATs on products or websites
- Has knowledge & experience with other accessibility testing tools for colorblindness, deaf, sight impaired, or otherwise disabled users.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Technical understanding of web-based product accessibility requirements
