ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER, WOMEN’S RTW/MATERNITY
START DATE: ASAP
CONTRACT: 5 MONTHS
LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO
PAY: $27/HOUR

** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER FOR THEIR WOMEN’S READY TO WEAR AND MATERNITY TEAMS **

RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRODUCT:
• Attend seasonal fabric meetings with manager
• Align on fabric and / or yarn identification and selection, in partnership with Manager and Design
• Ensure fabric/silhouette pairings are appropriate and identify opportunity for innovation of construction standards to ensure consistency in experience and delivery of value to the customer
• Work with manager to resolve potential manufacturing/costing issues prior to development of style to ensure quality execution in bulk
• Under direction of manager, provide cost through BOM and sketch reviews and resolving issues prior to adoption
• Work with manager, to ensure line developed by Design aligns to customer feedback and preference, utilizing consumer insights reporting
• Update BOM’s for changes made during Development Trip
• Ensure BOM’s are complete for costing and placement purposes

STRATEGY:
• Engage with manager and Production Manager on seasonal sourcing strategy
• Drive development into fabric platforms, in partnership with manager and design
• Achieve seasonal goals by partnering with manager and sourcing channels on seasonal costing
• Work with manager, effectively resolve issues in the development process through appropriate communication

CALENDAR:
• Manage pre-season development of timeline for self
• Hand off inspiration, samples and techniques in partnership with Design
• Work with Product Development Assistant to rollup and communicate pre-adoption costing analysis to manager

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 years of experience in Product Development or Production
• Manufacturing: trade regulations, testing protocol, product integrity
• Fabric construction: mill timelines, fabric properties
• Garment production: production cycle timeline, garment construction and garment costing
• Retail math: AUC, AUR, IMU
• Ability to think three-dimensionally and to visualize from swatch to body
• Solid understanding of product construction
• Solid understanding of design process
• Computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Access, web-based applications
• Effectively communicate in written and verbal form
• Detail oriented with strong follow through
• Use basic retail math needed to determine costs, margins and turn
• Negotiation skills
