LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO
PAY: $27.50/HOUR

** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER FOR THEIR WOMEN’S KNITS TEAM **

RESPONSIBILTIES:
PRODUCT:
• Attend seasonal fabric meetings with manager
• Align on fabric and /or yarn identification and selection, in partnership with manager and design
• Ensure fabric/silhouette pairings are appropriate and identify opportunity for innovation of construction standards to ensure consistency in experience and delivery of to the customer, in partnership with Manager and Technical Design
• Work with manager to resolve potential manufacturing/costing issues prior to development of style to ensure quality execution in bulk
• Under direction of manager, provide cost through BOM and sketch reviews and resolving issues prior to adoption
• Work with manager to ensure line developed by design aligns to customer feedback and preference, utilizing consumer insights reporting
• Update BOM’s for changes made during Development Trip
• Ensure BOM’s are complete for costing and placement purposes

STRATEGY:
• Engage with Manager and Production Manager on Seasonal Sourcing Strategy
• Drive development into fabric platforms, in partnership with manager and Design
• Achieve seasonal AUC goals by partnering with Manager and sourcing channels on seasonal costing
• Working with manager, effectively resolve issues in the development process through appropriate communication

CALENDAR:
• Manage pre-season development timeline for self
• Hand off inspiration, samples and techniques in partnership with design
• Work with Product Development Assistant to rollup and communication pre-adoption costing analysis to manager
• Schedule training and educational opportunities for (factory visits, system/IT training, forms and reports)
• Develop relationship with mentors, peers, and all sourcing channels

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years of Product Development or Production Experience
• Knowledge of:
o Manufacturing: trade regulations, testing protocol, product integrity
o Fabric Construction: mill timelines, fabric properties
o Garment production: production cycle timeline, garment construction and garment costing
o Retail Math: AUC, AUR, IMU
• Ability to think three-dimensionally and visualize from swatch to body
• Solid understanding of product construction
• Solid understanding of design process
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, web-based applications
• Effectively communicate in written and verbal form
• Detail oriented with strong follow through
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects
• Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
• Demonstrate proactive problem solving skills
• Use basic retail math needed to determine costs, margins and turn
• Negotiation skills
• Create and maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals
• Ability to react to change and deal with ambiguity
• Make effective presentations
