CONTRACT: 3 MONTHS
LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO

** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER FOR THEIR TODDLER BOY WOVENS TEAM **

RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Attend seasonal fabric meetings with manager
• Align on fabric and/or yarn identification and selection, in partnership with Manager and Design
• Ensure fabric/silhouette pairings are appropriate and identify opportunity for innovation of construction standards to ensure consistency in experience and delivery of value to the customer, in partnership with Manager and Tech design
• Work with manager to resolve potential manufacturing / costing issues prior to development of style to ensure quality execution in bulk
• Under direction of manager, provide cost through BOM and sketch reviews and resolving issues prior to adoption
• Work with manager to ensure line developed by Design aligns to customer feedback and preference, utilizing consumer insights reporting
• Update BOM’s for changes made during the development trip
• Ensure BOM’s are complete for costing and placement purposes

STRATEGY
• Engage with Manager and Production Manager on Seasonal Sourcing Strategy
• Drive development into fabric platforms, in partnership with manager and Design
• Achieve seasonal AUC goals by partnering with Manager and sourcing channels on seasonal costing
• Working with manager, effectively resolve issues in the development process through appropriate communication

CALENDAR:
• Manage pre-season development timeline for self
• Hand off inspiration, samples and techniques to GIS partner in partnership with Design for SPR issuance
• Follow up on all questions from Category to following SMR and SPR as directed by manager
• Work with Product Development Assistant to rollup and communicate pre-adoption costing analysis to manager

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2 years of Product Development experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of
o Manufacturing – trade regulations, testing protocol, product integrity
o Fabric construction – mill timelines, fabric properties
o Garment production – production cycle timeline, garment construction and garment costing
o Retail math – AUC, AUR, IMU
• Good aesthetic, design and color sense
• Ability to think three-dimensionally and to visualize from swatch to body
• Solid understanding of product construction
• Solid understanding of design process
• Computer skills, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and web-based applications
• Effectively communicate in written and verbal form
• Detail oriented with strong follow through
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects
• Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
• Demonstrate proactive problem solving skills
• Use basic retail math needed to determine costs, margins and turn
• Negotiation skills
• Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and develop employees through formal and on the job training
• Create and maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals
• Ability to react to change and deal with ambiguity
