LOCATION: NEW YORK, NY
PAY: $28/HOUR

** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER FOR THEIR MEN’S KNITS TEAM **

SUMMARY:
The Associate Production Manager actively participates as a member of a Global Production team, which is responsible for the financial and responsive execution of the strategy and direction for Men’s Knits department.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Align with Product Development post Mill Week meetings to understand what the product strategies are and marry that with the sourcing strategies
• Align with Product Development team post Raw Material reviews on any areas of concern
• Partner with Product Development on areas of concern and potential sourcing solves
• Communicate lead times and early books to cross functional teams
• Own alignment on RSC strategies and execution of such activities
• Attend open issues meetings for visibility/context
• Create AUC class level targets based on inputs from cross functional partners
• Conduct early booking meetings and execute all early bookings
• Partner with team on sourcing strategies and solves
• Track and report all open issues
• Manages frolling process
• Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership on any costing concerns
• Attend BOM detail meetings
• Execute final BOM in PLM
• Attends critical fitting to offer guidance with respect to costing and lead times
• Communicates and executes 2nd and final bookings
• Ensures AUC targets are met through sourcing solves
• Ensures that supporting systems (ACT, PLM, TS, Prompt) are complete and accurate by the agreed deadlines
• Investigates and resolves any issues with PO seeding
• Partners with Trade Compliance to confirm duty rates of product
• Executes Ad sample ordering and partners with Merchandising/PR to ensure timely delivery
• Investigates all late deliveries and provides potential solutions
• Ensures complete and accurate documentation of any delivery changes in the change log and communicates to cross-functional teams as necessary
• Documents and executes all RSC related activities (pre-season and in-season)

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2 years of Production experience
• Manufacturing, trade regulations, testing protocol, product integrity, production cycle timeline, fabric and garment construction knowledge
• Cross functional inter-dependencies
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, web-based applications
• Strong communication skills both written and verbally
• Detail oriented with strong follow though
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects
• Have a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
• Demonstrate proactive problem solving skills
• Use basic retail math needed to determine costs, margins and turn
• Strong negotiation skills
• Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and develop employees through formal and on-the-job training
• Create and maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals
• Ability to react to change
• Solicit feedback/self-development
• Make effective presentations
• Emphasis on driving and influencing business
• Understand the principles of apparel manufacturing and apparel costing
• International travel may be required
