START DATE: ASAP
CONTRACT: 3 MONTHS
LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO
PAY: $20/HOUR

** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER FOR THEIR WOMEN’S KNITS TEAM **

RESPONSIBILITIES:

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
• Understand divisional goals and work with team on execution of strategies
• Review, understand and recommend seasonal AUC targets, raw material guidelines, and fabric strategies on a seasonal basis with supervisor
• Adhere to AUC targets and material costing guidance sheet that enable production teams to design in developing product into good, better, best pricing architecture by department
• Minimize and bring resolution to financial liabilities by presenting recommendations to supervisor and cross functional partners
• Ensure product meets all brand filters, design aesthetic, quality and financial goals
• Support execution of category sourcing strategies

PRE-PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT:
• Understand design’s aesthetic requirements and collaborate with team and Product Integrity to ensure sample development meets the brand goals for quality and aesthetic while meeting AUC targets
• Understand, adhere to, and execute brand pipeline calendars and checklists
• Monitor seasonal development to meet line plan needs and development metrics
• Execute fabric/product strategies that leverage the category across the brand and company
• Partner with leadership to leverage technical knowledge and support to troubleshoot and resolve issues that are unique in nature and may require novel approach
• Understand and work with cross functional teams to deliver costing guidance that informs if the line plan needs are met
• Execute exception booking process
• Order all sample fabric, trims, and styles for key milestone meetings by calendar deadlines
• Monitor on-time delivery of samples for milestone meetings and report style level status and specifics to cross functional teams
• Own and enter accuracy of data in BOM’s in PLM
• Ensure costing accuracy in ACT and costing tool

PRODUCTION EXECUTION:
• Participate in pre class process
• Review style tracker requests and adherence of cross functional teams to style tracker process
• Communicate fabric, style, sb and bas bookings and order confirmation
• Work with supervisor and International Sourcing, Global Design, Global Technical Design, Global and Regional Merchandising, Regional Inventory Management on speed and responsiveness initiatives and process in the development and execution process
• Communicate to understand production execution issues and provide support in resolving them in a timely manner
• Understand and influence cross functional peers to maintain quality attributes for a category
• Demonstrate use and knowledge of vendor handbook

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Manufacturing and product engineering, global trade regulations, global testing protocol, global product integrity, production cycle timeline, calendar management, fabric performance and garment/product construction
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn new programs
• PLM, Tradestone, and ACT experience required
