** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER (ACCESSORIES)! **

The Assistant Production Manager actively supports a Global Production team that is responsible for communicating and executing Brand product strategies in partnership with the fabric strategy team. You will coordinate the sample tracking and product approvals for seasonal accessories while meeting or exceeding financial goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SAMPLE TRACKING AND PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR SEASONAL ACCESSORIES

Financial Management:
• Understand and support execution of all brand filters, design aesthetic, quality and financial goals
• Maintain and ensure costing accuracy in ACT

Production Management:
Pre Production Management
• Job requires managing over 1000 different CCs and making sure team is gathered on a biweekly basis to review and approve.
• Order all sample fabric, trims, and styles for key milestone meetings by calendar deadlines
• Track on-time delivery of samples for milestone meetings and report style level status and specifics to supervisor/cross functional teams
• Support exception booking process
• Ensure adhere to all Production SOPs

Production Execution
• Participate in pre class process
• Pull reporting of style tracker requests and monitor adherence of cross functional teams to style tracker process
• Confirm and validate all information regarding fabric, style, sb and bas bookings and order confirmation
• Partner with supervisor on communication of with production execution issues including late or short shipments to cross functional partners
• Build a development plan with supervisor

MUST HAVE:
• Familiarity with accessories or apparel production or design is ideal. However most important that person be organized and capable of dealing with a high volume of details.
• Excel: basic excel skills (adding columns, sorting, filtering, adding pictures, etc) required, ability to do formulas and pivots is a plus
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Web-based applications, Adobe Creative Suite, Photo Management Software
• Effectively communicate in written and verbal form- clear English (working with non-native-English speakers)
• Use basic retail math needed to determine costs, margins and turn
• 4 Year Bachelors Degree preferred
• 1-2 Years Production/Manufacturing experience
