AEM Authoring Business Consultant

Are you an enterprise CMS professional with Adobe Experience Manager experience who asks the right questions, digs deeper, and takes pride in solving complex challenges across the website design process? Your understanding of content support best practices and experience with a complex software release process will be assets as you collaborate with Product and Design team members in a role that’s both strategic and hands-on. 

As an integral member of the team, you’ll get up to speed quickly on existing projects and make an impact with your experience in authoring requirements, standards and training. Aware that business goals and user needs are critical drivers for effective decisions, you’ll apply your CMS knowledge to deliver thoughtful solutions for our internal partners. 

**Can be located in the SF or LA area** 

Responsibilities and Qualifications: 

1) Create authoring requirements (i.e. functional specs) during the website design process. Add authoring requirements to UX designs comps and component designs 
2) Collaborate with APO’s and designers to write authoring requirements (acceptance criteria) for user stories and accept those users stories when development is complete. 
3) Evaluate existing component library and recommend improvements to authoring experience 
4) Create standards for authoring including: authoring dialogues, component names, component groups and template names—especially with AEM TouchUI-- for developers and agile product owners to use during development 
5) Train authors on completed components and develop training materials and documentation for continued support 
6) Train and educate other business partners—APO’s, PdM’s—on AEM architecture and process 
7) Collaborate with Agile developers to arrange knowledge transfer sessions for completed AEM components 
8) Perform acceptance testing on components and authoring experience 
9) Identify bugs or issues in components and authoring experience, communicate to development teams and work to achieve resolution 
10) Promote and educate enterprise (especially marketing departments) on AEM capabilities, principles and best practices in digital publishing 
11) Create and design content models, content types and relationships between content and metadata/taxonomy 
12) Develop detailed content migration plans from TeamSite to AEM 
13) Create content management strategies and governance models for content process (including distributed publishing) 

Qualifications 

• 5+ years business consulting experience with AEM or 3 years experience with Adobe certification 
• 5+ years experience gathering and writing authoring requirements 
• Development experience with AEM a plus 
• 3+ years experience with Agile development 
• Experience with production support of content and content management systems 
• Experience with content entry in AEM 
• Experience working in matrix organization 
• Experience with Atlassian suite of products (JIRA, Confluence and HipChat) 
• Experience with a complex software release process and environment 
• Experience working in organizations that employ a distributed publishing model 
• OpenText TeamSite experience a nice to have 
• Working knowledge of html, javascript and css a plus
