Job Overview: Software Delivery web project manager
A Digital Marketing Operations team Web Project Manager supports the efficient and timely execution of applicable programs. For “Software Delivery,” that entails learning the required steps for different types of software releases, as well as training and supporting numerous teams that create that software for external use. A successful WPM will be able to understand a variety of complex business use cases and compliance requirements, translate those to best practices, then implement any scenario under tight deadlines using a variety of complicated back-end systems – and train engineers and digital marketers in all those areas.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Understand and support software delivery best practices and compliance requirements for various business use cases.
o Learn and use various administrative systems to upload files, configure for different sets of requirements, collect and enter release information, authorize users, and send update alerts, for different types of day-to-day releases.
o Apply in-depth understanding of those systems & requirements - Counsel software release teams across various groups, helping them determine and implement optimal release scenarios based on their business needs.
o Help revamp existing training materials, and create scalable ramp-up process for large numbers of business users of these release systems. Help train user base for any ongoing procedural changes.
o Provide initial-level troubleshooting support for admin users or external customers. For larger issues, escalate and follow-up with team.


Required skills/education:
• College education – with IT and/or business-related interests
• 2-5 years’ experience working in a mid to large size company
• Comfortable working with a variety of admin tools, content management and other back-end systems.
• Thrives on learning new systems and procedures, understanding their intent, then codifying processes and scaling implementation.
• Good presentation skills.
• Comfortable interacting with business users.
• Credible when training and supporting experienced engineers.
