A - Proposal Specialist

Aquent’s Orange County client is seeking a Proposal Specialist to a temp-to-perm opportunity in Orange County.

• Thoroughly review RFP/RFI’s and enclosed supplemental documents to develop the proposal response outline, decipher and analyze customer requirements, identify and assemble appropriate corporate, subsidiary, or partner resources to strategically decide on the best response. Create and maintain system for collaborating with cross-functional team on RFP responses. (20%)

• As the primary writer and project lead, coordinate and facilitate kick-off review meetings detailing the opportunity, proposal process, roles and responsibilities, set project timeline, and collaborate with the assembled team to develop a concise, compelling, and appropriate response that is consistent with corporate brand messaging. Accountable for and project manage the entire proposal response, from initial review of RFP/RFI to release of final deliverable to Bids and Contracts. Oversee the handoff to the implementation team upon business award. (25%)

• Identify issues found in completing assigned tasks, resolve these issues, or escalate for resolution, and report on opportunity status and outcomes. Ability to manage project issues and risks proactively and independently. (10%)

• Participate in the development and maintenance of content knowledge base library. Evaluate and initiate improvements to the content to ensure consistency of information and manage regular database reviews. (25%)

• Work closely with various departments to develop and maintain proposal response boilerplate and frequently used language. Maintain policy and procedure related to proposal production. (15%)

• Perform other related duties as assigned. (5%)

Reports To:
Director Bids, Proposals & Contracts or Proposal Manager

Internal Contacts:
Daily interaction with functional groups such as Business Owners, Contracts, Legal, Finance, Pricing, Sales, Product and Solutions Marketing and other various subject matter experts.

External Contacts:
Daily interaction with Customers, Program Partners, Subsidiaries, Sister and Parent Companies

Minimum Qualifications
5-7+ years of proposal management of the entire bid life cycle or equivalent relevant work experience such as project management, product marketing, marketing communications, or contract administration experience. 2-5 years experience managing larger, more complex and cross functional projects.

Proposal management experience. Excellent writing, editing and project management skills. Proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Visio, or others. Knowledge of consumer electronics and/or peripheral industry a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism (or related major) or equivalent relevant work experience.
