Essential duties and responsibilities

 Lead the design effort on a variety of wearable and mobile projects. You’ll be

responsible for developing the point-of-view, value proposition, detailed concepts,

and evolving ideas over time.

 Create strong UX model and translating it visually into scenarios, flows and detailed

designs.

 Create detailed interaction specifications/guidelines.

 Use rapid prototyping as part of the process to help define/refine interaction models.

 Create working prototypes by collaborating with internal development team.

 Use different types of user research to inform and evolve concepts.

 Communicate concepts and ideas clearly through visual and verbal presentation.

 Collaborate with external teams such as design/research firms and contractors. Work

effectively as a team player.

Required knowledge and education

 Bachelors or master’s degree in relevant field (HCI, interaction design, graphic

design/etc.) from a four-year college or university.

 Online (or offline) portfolio that shows the breadth and the detail process of your

work.

 5+ years of experience.

 Strong passion and interest in mobile and wearable technology trends.

 Either consumer electronic products or mobile device related experiences are highly

recommendable

 Strong visual design and motion skills are a plus.

 Knowledge of interaction design patterns, device/platform conventions and how they

translate visually

 Firm grasp of design principles (typography, iconography, color, layout and

hierarchy)

 Able to rapidly visualize/prototype concepts

 Excellent communication skills

 Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects

 Willingness to work with prototyping tools such as JavaScript, Processing, or Flash.

 Able to work independently and flexibly with open-ended projects and tight

deadlines.
