Our client is a huge gaming/technology client based in Reading who is looking to recruit 2 x publishing assistants for their gaming team within the TV & Movies category.

Salary £20,000 - £25,000 per annum
Based in Reading
To start ASAP
Contracts will run until 30th June 2014 with the potential to roll on long term.

Job Mission:
To drive the usage and enjoyment of TV & Movies content on a gaming console by helping to deliver a premium entertainment experience across the EMEA region (Western Europe and Scandinavian countries).

The TV & Movies team is responsible for publishing promotional content via the console, working with a variety of partners to:
- Promote key releases and seasonal initiatives.
- Develop promotional ideas.
- Build appropriate graphics and experiences.
- Manage publishing schedules.
- Ensure user experience meets the highest bar for quality, consistency and technical accuracy.

Key areas of responsibility:
Primary role: Reporting to the TV & Movies Producer, this role is to support the EMEA Programming team with the publishing of unique TV & Movies promotions in up to 17 EMEA locales

• Build & publish content weekly using proprietary CMS (content management system) tool.
• Schedule updates according to agreed deadlines and escalate potential issues as necessary.
• Adhere to internal policies & procedures and actively propose changes in policies that will benefit the business
• Update Producer weekly on status of tasks and projects.
• Communicate regularly with wider stakeholders on status of tasks and projects.
• Attend regular meetings.
• Coordinate requests with other Programming teams, e.g. design requests, research requests.
• Develop intimate knowledge of tools in order to create content and resolve technical issues autonomously.

Experience and Professional Qualification Requirements:
* Keen interest in TV & Movies content.
* Proven working knowledge in creating content for multiple audience types in an online environment, preferably in the entertainment industry
* A strong proficiency with content management tools and processes
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment
* Experience of working to schedules in a daily or weekly content publishing environment
* Ability to absorb & note information in meetings
* HTML5, CSS, JavaScript proficient
* Experience & proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* A basic knowledge of Photoshop
* BA/BS or equivalent

* Fluency in one more European languages is beneficial and not essential
* Ability to write concise headlines and descriptions that adhere to tight character restrictions
* Degree in information management, communications, English, journalism or related discipline
