The Senior Web Designer will be responsible for designing all e-commerce content and aesthetics. This person will ensure that the integrity of the brand is present in all facets of the online experience, designing the website, emails and any external media. The ideal candidate will be researching new ideas to engage our online shoppers with compelling and interactive experiences, will researching trends and keep abreast with new technologies, emerging trends, and software. Execution of all projects from concept to finish. Looking for a designer who:
Is a self-starter, drives for results, and has a proven record of delivering these results
Is passionate about creating an engaging online experience through design that is brand-right
Has a strong interest in eCommerce and the user experience
Has a strong grasp on emerging design best practices (colors, fonts, layout, etc.) for both web and print
Has a strong attention to detail and a desire to find efficiencies in daily processes
Can handle multiple projects and work quickly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
And most importantly, someone who is a team player
Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance
Conceptualize and produce strong and compelling designs for marketing campaigns that is in line with our brand.
Responsible for creating consistency across all mediums (for emails, website content, banner ads, specialty landing pages, catalogs, in-store signage, etc.)
Conceptualize campaigns based on basic wireframes
Maintain positive & nurturing work environment with high creative standards; mentor and critique graphic designs from Web Designers and freelance designers.
Produce detailed mock-ups while considering design/layout, and the user experience in support of new enhancements for the company's websites.
Traffic all web/print content for approvals and to ensure deadlines are met.
Work closely and collaboratively as a team player (with other designers, copywriters, and user interface designers) on group projects.
Coordinate and work closely with in-house and/or external printing companies to submit completed design files and receive in proofs.
Collect bids from printers or other vendors for design projects.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.
Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field
Five years experience in graphic design for a corporation
3-5 years of Web Design experience
Mastery in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
Proficient on Mac platform
Strong knowledge of prepress and working with printing companies
Proficiency in photo-editing
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
Knowledge of Flash and Dreamweaver
Flexibility as long hours may occur to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Possess a professional and positive attitude
Desired Qualifications - Desired but not required.
E-commerce experience
Management experience
Retail experience a plus
Proficiency in HTML, Flash, and Dreamweaver
Social media experience
