Candidate should be experienced with ADDIE, Information Mapping and working in a virtual environment. Experience with Snag-It, QuizMaker, Camtasia, Articulate, Adobe Presenter and similar tools is preferred.

Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm (standard business hours)

Here are additional details from the manager:

-->If this is supporting a specific project(s), what role will these Instructional Designers serve on the team?
• These IDs will support system migrations projects, supporting claims, service, etc.
• We have one large migration ramping up now and may have them support smaller migration projects as well.

--> What will a typical day look like?
• In the beginning, the IDs will work with the project team and business partner to identify performance gaps and design the training curriculum.
• This includes a lot of research and conference call time.
• Once we have enough information to begin design, the IDs will spend time designing and developing training content, assessments and syllabi.
• They will also work with the business partners and other members of the project team for review and approval of the content.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for designing comprehensive instructional systems and materials.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops instructional materials for instructor led cours
• Conducts performance and instructional analysis for small and mid-sized projects.
• Develops and maintains instructional project plans for small and mid-sized projects.
• Evaluates instructional systems and materials. Conducts Train-the-Trainer events.
• Creates and/or edits graphical and auditory materials.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Requires a BA/BS degree in a related area, two years training and development experience, seven years total experience in training, health insurance or business experience, quality and/or other related areas, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Experience with designing or developing learning technology solutions.

SKILLS:
Knowledge of instructional systems design (ISD) and adult learning principles, including Criterion-Referenced Instruction methodology.
• Preferred: Performance Consulting or ISD certification.
• Certification on at least one advanced learning technology, CBT/WBT authoring tools, Robohelp, Front page, Captivate, etc. Some travel required.
