We are looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our client's eBook publishing team based in our Seattle Office. This team owns programs, services and features that increase the eBook selection. This role is responsible for enabling a seamless flow of eBook content and metadata through the digital supply chain, from publishers and content providers all the way through to eBbook consumers. TAM position will be a lot like a Business Development role and related to a Vendor Manager role. The contractor will be asked to own a pilot program for a new Direct Publisher Outreach Initiative. For the initiative, the contractor will lead interactions with publishers who are already in contact with the company. They will set up meetings, and onboard new publishers into the process. They will need to chase publishers down to get things rolling and then potentially hand things off, but will likely own certain ongoing needs with those publishers. Part of this work will be operational (processing updates from publishers, updating the team on the updates from publishers, work with the publishers to get new lists of books to be available on mobile device)

This contractor will need to be comfortable acting as the face of the company for this team. They will also need to have some sort of knowledge about how books are published, and be interested and excited by the book industry.

Strong Excel skills are needed (pivot tables/vlookups). The contractor should also know very basic SQL, at least know how to read and handle simple outputs that will be in Excel format.

**Industry experience in managing publisher relationships isn't needed necessarily, but experience in managing some kind of vendor relationship is needed.**

This role will own the operational relationship with publishers and content providers, coordinating internal and external stakeholders on initiatives to grow the Mobile Store E-Book selection. The role will work side-by-side with internal business teams to identify and surface catalog which is not yet available on the mobile store to the publishers. It will also work with the publishers and content providers to acquire and ingest content for the mobile store.

The successful candidate will be a strong self-starter, thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, be well organized, have a demonstrated ability to solve technical challenges, and be able to credibly coordinate between internal operational, technical and business teams and external stakeholders.

· Provide daily support to publishers on content production, ingestion and use of company's specific formats and tools.
· Consistently improve content provider and mobile customer experience by delivering superior publisher support, and by relentlessly advocating for content providers throughout the enterprise.

Basic Qualifications:
· Experience managing relationships, cross-functional teams, programs, and/or products.
· Strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills, strong sense of ownership, and a self-starter.
