Our Client is looking for an experienced Technical Writer who can make sure our technical publications provide everything our developers need to get up and running quickly.

If you're comfortable creating technical documentation for developers in a fast-paced, exciting environment, with people who are exhilarated by quickly shifting project priorities, this is the position for you! As a Technical Writer you will create and test documentation for application developers creating applications for our client's electronic products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. We are looking for someone that is technology savvy and has a passion for developers.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver technically accurate documentation to help developers successfully.
•Own the entire documentation set, including architecture, writing, editing, testing, and deployment
•Work with the software engineering team to design and implement a world-class developer documentation experience
•Manage simultaneous documentation projects involving other team members and work with key stakeholders across the organization
•Continuously gather information from Business Development, Product Management, QA, and Support to produce best practices and react to the needs of developers



Basic Qualifications

•Self-starter with ability to improve documentation processes
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
•Able to identify and understand audience needs
•Experience architecting, writing, and editing technical documentation for software developers and SDKs
•Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; additional experience using XML to single-source documentation for localization preferred
•Experience using HTML and XML editing tools, content management systems, and version control and bug tracking tools; additional experience using software IDEs preferred
•Experience working with software documentation style guides, such as MSTP, and creating or contributing to team style guides
•Familiarity with a modern programming language, such as Java or C/C++
•4+ years of professional experience, including 1+ years of experience writing SDK documentation for a developer audience
•Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field


Preferred Qualifications
•Experience creating end-to-end user documentation plans and managing the content lifecycle
•Experience creating functional requirement specifications and diagramming processes
•Experience collecting customer feedback and mining usage metrics
•Experience supporting devices, especially mobile devices
