The Kindle Accessories team is seeking a talented, customer-obsessed contract designer to create innovative advertising experiences for a variety of global brands for a 3-month period. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional visual design with engaging and compelling interaction for superior marketing solutions. At the end of the 3-month period, full-time employment may be an option.

You will work closely with product, sales and marketing teams to create and bring ideas to life to help drive new business. Prior experience in an agency or media environment creating advertisements for global brands is a bonus.

Responsibilities
• Take an idea from concept to reality.
• Understand usability principles that help drive successful designs.
• Analyze marketing challenges and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements.
• Create customer-centric designs by integrating marketing objectives, target audience and creative assets into advertising designs.
• Support sales teams by bringing big ideas to life through ideation and creation of high fidelity designs for sales presentations.
• Develop and contribute to detailed Amazon.com’s advertising specifications and style guides.


Basic Qualifications
• Experience designing on mobile platforms
• Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• 3+ years of professional experience working as a visual or interaction designer.
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong visual design skills and innovative interactive work.
• Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising solutions.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, and Dreamweaver


Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in design.
• Experience working in an advertising or creative agency environment
• Copy writing skills a plus.
• Advertising experience across a range of media including online, mobile and print.
