When a leading auto manufacturer needed to shore up digital expertise within its dealership network, it turned to Aquent and our Managed Workforce Solutions. We were tasked to build up a team of 60 talent to fill their newly created Digital Manager role.
As the exclusive hiring partner for this project, we set our sights on hiring 60 Digital Managers in just 60 days, over-performing against contract requirements. We started by working with the client to define the core needs and skills for the role, which included website content strategy, search engine optimization, digital advertising, lead generation, CRM, and social media. We also embraced their need for diversity of background and experience, which was paramount for fostering new, innovative solutions for internal stakeholders.
Aquent dedicated an additional Recruiter Agent and Talent Experience Manager to the effort, and began an aggressive talent sourcing and screening process, scheduling top candidates for meet-and-greet interviews with the company’s hiring managers. After their new hires were selected, we onboarded them in two waves of formal client training, which helped streamline the ramp-up period.
The client was thrilled that Aquent could not only deliver on the tight timeline, but we could fill those positions with fresh, high quality talent, even after they believed they had exhausted their local talent pool.
Over the course of the nine months since the Digital Managers were placed, the client has enjoyed a 98% talent retention rate, and the continued presence of these team members means that the dealerships have already started seeing big results, including an improved digital presence and relationship building with territory managers and dealership employees. Management is already outlining additional KPIs and planning to move some of the most qualified team members into permanent roles.
