As a Principal AI Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) team. Working within a global organization, you will design and implement scalable applications leveraging prediction models and optimization programs. Your work will empower data-driven decisions with significant business impact. You will also contribute to core advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI platforms and tools, enabling both prediction and optimization model development. This role offers the chance to learn continuously, mentor others, and contribute to the broader analytics and engineering communities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable applications using prediction models and optimization programs.
• Develop and deploy machine learning and generative AI solutions.
• Contribute to core advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI platforms and tools.
• Provide technical vision and guidance to teammates.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering peers.
• Lead and mentor other engineers in problem-solving and technical development.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, a Master’s degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, or related fields.
• Strong analytical mindset and experience leading others in problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Python, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Expertise with agile development and test-driven development.
• Expertise with data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
• Expertise in producing and deploying predictive or mathematical optimization models.
• Experience with complex data sets, ETL pipelines, SQL, and general data engineering.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience influencing technical strategy.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Expertise in MLOps or API development.
• Expertise with cloud architecture and technologies, especially AWS.
• Expertise with Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Databricks, or Terraform.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $67.20 to $74.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
