As a Software Engineer, you will assess complex technical challenges and spearhead the development of innovative solutions that align with business needs and architectural standards. You will manage small to medium-sized projects, contribute significantly to larger initiatives, and provide technical guidance to team members. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, particularly in networking and infrastructure management using CloudFormation. You will also play a key role in ensuring the continuous operation and improvement of live systems using CI/CD best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions using AWS cloud technologies.
- Manage projects within defined sprint cycles, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Collaborate with product owners to understand business requirements and propose optimal technical solutions.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and system stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for live systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AWS cloud technologies and best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5+ years of directly relevant work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Extensive experience with AWS services, including networking and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
- Strong experience with Java development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Experience working with consumer-facing applications.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55.19 to $61.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
