Join a dynamic team dedicated to empowering technical authors and enhancing the customer experience for a leading technology company. As a Content Editor, you will play a crucial role in refining and optimizing support materials for a wide range of products. Your expertise will ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all documentation, directly impacting the success of authors and the satisfaction of customers. This is a remote position.

As a Content Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and refining self-help content created by subject matter experts. This content is designed to assist customers with troubleshooting and utilizing various products. You will work independently, collaborating with editors, authors, and teammates to ensure the highest quality documentation. Your contributions will directly impact the customer experience and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit self-help customer-facing content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to style guidelines and brand voice.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify technical details and improve content flow.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
  • Maintain records of edits and revisions.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, or in English, journalism, or communications.
  • 5-7 years of experience in technical writing and copy editing.
  • Proven ability to create documentation for a technical audience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand basic programming code.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based development and project management tools
  • Familiarity with collaboration platforms

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45.70 to $50.78 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
