Job Description:
The Project Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, on budget, with excellence, and are aligned with the museum’s strategic priorities. The PM leads project planning teams, helps teams identify project objectives, facilitates project- based communication with internal and external stakeholders, and manages project planning tools, templates, and documentation. In addition to ensuring projects stay on track, the PM identifies risks and areas for improvement, working strategically to develop and implement systems to increase efficiency. This role involves managing multiple projects at once and
communicating with staff across the museum. It also requires excellent organization, communication, detail orientation, resourcefulness, diplomacy, and a collaborative spirit.
**part-time: 20 hours a week!**
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Maintains and updates project schedules; monitors progress against milestones; and acts as liaison between departments to ensure that projects are completed on time, on
budget, and with excellence.
● Facilitates brainstorms and team meetings. Ensures project-specific meetings are held with appropriate stakeholders to develop content, resolve problems, review status, and share
information.
● Continually reviews and improves existing processes: Produces, manages, and refines project planning tools, templates, and document storage/access. Documents processes and
shares across organization to optimize cross-departmental collaboration. .
● Manages project budgets. Will support the creation and tracking of fiscal year budgets; monitor expenditures and transactions; process contract payments and invoices, identify
savings, create expense reports; and serve as a liaison with the Finance department.
● Meeting scheduling.
● Performs other duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
● Ability to work on large number of projects (50-55) simultaneously.
● Exceptional project management and organization skills.
● Possesses excellent prioritization and follow through skills. Works with extreme accuracy
and attention to detail.
● Works collaboratively, honors multiple perspectives at once, and unites teams around
common goals. Establishes and nurtures positive, cooperative, and effective working
relationships with museum staff, colleagues from other institutions, consultants, and
vendors.
● Technical proficiency with standard suite of applications (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, etc.) as well as tools and applications related to project management. (basecamp, airtable, slack)
**must have own laptop/computer. etc.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50.00 to $55.00/hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
