Please note, this position is hybrid onsite in Milwaukee, WI (Monday + 2 other other days onsite) - work samples required
The senior communication lead develops and executes communications for key projects, campaigns and channels that align with our client’s strategic corporate communication priorities. These activities advise, educate, and influence a range of target audiences including the company’s employees, the field, leaders and other partners.
Accountable for identifying the right audience, message, channel and timing to orchestrate the coordinated communication of a clear, concise messages and content to the organization (Home Office and Field). Accountable for coordinating with other communication teams and for developing and executing the communication plan.
The communication lead will:
- Work under the direction of the Senior Director – Strategic Communications and in partnership with the communications and project team to provide ongoing project communications support.
- Use communications to build awareness, understanding and adoption among all audiences.
- Help to develop and execute communication strategy including managing communications plan, developing and coordinating communications deliverables and tactically executing with the project team.
- Develop engaging content.
- Write, edit and review copy for key communication deliverables and supporting documents (i.e. articles, FAQs, copy concepts, news releases, etc.).
- Monitor and manage project Slack posts, email inquiries, FAQs, and a variety of other communication channels.
- Facilitate review of collateral materials among appropriate project stakeholders.
- Provide insight and support with planning and delivery of effective integrated communication solutions.
- Work with Creative Solutions and/or vendors as needed to bring deliverables to life, acting as a brand steward to uphold brand standards and consistency in all materials and managing details such as production schedules when needed.
- Measure effectiveness of communication support and/or return on communication investment.
- Perform additional communication tasks as needed to support project success.
What are the must haves for this role?
- 6-8 years experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in, English/journalism, communications or related field
- Expert writer and content developer – with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with multiple individuals across the enterprise
- Proven project management and organizational skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple demands simultaneously and work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated success in consulting effectively with key business partners and stakeholders
What are the nice to haves for this role?
- Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, change management preferred
- Comfortable with web-based project management tools and collaboration technologies (i.e. SharePoint, OneDrive, Slack)
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $58.00 to $64.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
