Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time social media manager. In this role, you will help manage and grow our owned social media channels, create social strategy and campaigns, and engage with players on social media platforms.
In the role of social media manager, you will report to our head of social media. Your primary responsibility is to strategize, write and create content. You’ll also manage content calendars, scheduling, and posting on our channels, as well as monitoring analytics and reporting. You’ll work closely with marketing, community, product, and a global community of educators.
We are seeking an energetic, creative self-starter with superb communication skills, and passion for education and technology. Other competencies include understanding of current social media trends and ability to skillfully drive community growth and engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement social media strategy that resonates with our diverse and global audience and aligned with our overarching brand, tone of voice, and social strategy.
- Define channel priorities, set goals and targets, aligning to business goals and audience insights.
- Create social media campaigns for key beats in partnership with marketing teams across our platform.
- Manage paid social campaigns with agencies.
- Host content ideation and team brainstorms.
- Generate and publish social content and engage with audiences daily.
- Curate user generated content and identify potential influencers, creators, and customer voices to highlight and work with.
- Provide strategic recommendations and support for our team in conceptualization and execution of assets for social media.
- Track and report on channel and content performance, setting benchmarks and contributing to campaign reporting dashboards.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy planning, goal setting, and implementation
- Experience managing high volume social media channels for well-known brand or product
- Experience working in gaming sector preferred
- Passion for education/social impact
- Understanding of community engagement and audience strategy
- Familiarity using data to adjust and optimize strategy and activations for community-facing channels, and report and communicate channel performance results.
- Excellent collaboration, copywriting, and communication skills. English language.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $47.00 to $53.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
