A well known Musuem based out of D.C. is on the search for a Email Marketing Production Specialist.

This is a remote role, beginning Feb1 and ending Sept 30.

Summary of Position:
Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Specialist, the Email Marketing Production contractor will be responsible for production and implementation of Educator audience email marketing
communication campaigns. Key responsibilities include:
● Partnering with internal stakeholders to implement e-communications priorities, goals and
● Executing flawless production and deployment of emails, landing pages and associated
● Managing e-constituent audiences and segmentation to reflect personalized/dynamic content
within email communications
● Track and maintain e-communication performance reporting to help establish benchmarks
overall, as well as specific to various education groups and touch points.
● Implementing digital asset plans including those involving webpages and online forms.

Duties and Responsibilities for the role
The Email Marketing Production Specialist will partner to implement the Museum’s educational digital
marketing strategies–from production and QC to deployment and reporting.
● Partner closely with project team members--including project manager, subject matter experts,
managers and internal stakeholders-- to ensure the final product (including content) is vetted,
and approved in advance of deadlines
● Code and QC HTML emails, landing pages and online forms across browsers, platforms, and
devices, while also ensuring that web pages are Section 508 compliant.
● Develop meaningful A/B and multivariate testing strategies to focus on optimization of audience
touchpoints to include: messaging, template, audience and/or graphics/imagery
● Execute The Email Marketing Production contractor will also be responsible for database management:
● Troubleshoot and resolve email database issues as needed.
● Import and export data from Museum systems as required to support marketing needs.
● Manage target audience and suppression queries for use in email campaigns, as well as
advanced personalization and segmentation strategies
● Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for the role
● 2-3 years experience producing mass email in a non-profit or corporate environment.
● 2-3 years experience working in large-scale digital marketing automation platforms/eCRMs,
including Markto, Salesforce, Luminate, Hubspot, etc.
● Advanced HTML email coding capabilities, and extensive QC
● Experience with CSS, Javascript and open source libraries.
● Experience with Project Management and/or Approval Tracking tools, like Smartsheets, Trello,
Workfront, Jira, Asana, etc
● Working knowledge of UX and email industry best practices.
● Superior attention to detail.
● Ability to apply critical thinking throughout all aspects of work.
● Works well both independently and as part of a team.
● Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines and clients, while maintaining superior client and
team relations.
