Job Description:

We are seeking a Mobile Product Designer for our client to support their end-to-end design process for a brand-new product. We are looking for candidates who can work on-site at our Cupertino, CA headquarters on a hybrid basis, but will consider remote candidates with extraordinary experience. In this consultant role, you will bring demonstrated experience of thinking at a high level and being able to focus on the nitty-gritty details - working through an entire design process with both strategic and hands-on work to be shared.

Flexibility is key in this early-stage product design process. The team frequently switches gears between gathering user and business needs and presenting concepts to stakeholders, as well as working on production. The work might be in different stages at any given time.

Responsibilities:

  • Listen and ask questions to understand a deliverable’s intent, then bring that to life through design.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to design deliverables for an app
  • Create deliverables that are simple and elegant—while staying true to company design standards.
  • Be an excellent problem solver, quick learner, self-starter, and direct communicator working with a range of cross-functional teams.

Desired Candidates will bring:

  • 5+ years of design experience - strong preference for candidates who have strong iOS or iPad OS app experience. (Web experience will not be considered)
  • Strong Sketch skills required
  • UX/Product Design from end-to-end
  • Knowledge of human interface guidelines
  • Portfolio of app projects that demonstrate the process and critical thinking skills, ideally displaying case studies, not just finished visuals
  • Great visual design skills
  • Has worked with well-known and interesting brands
  • Has worked in the VR and mixed reality space which will bring a unique perspective to the team is a plus

Client Description:
