Job Description:

This position is only open to candidates who would be able to commute to Milwaukee, WI. 2-3 times per month.

This is a Salaried Consultant position with Aquent Studios and includes PTO, Subsidized Medical/Dental Benefits and 401k with match.

 

Aquent Studios seeks a Digital Design Manager to develop concepts and produce digital projects for major campaigns, product launches and other marketing initiatives for a global manufacturing brand. You’ll be the source of truth for a subset of digital projects, working with a cross-platform multidisciplinary team. As a detail-oriented, enthusiastic advocate for the various digital project opportunities, you’ll be responsible to communicate inspiration with new technologies in our ever-exploding digital landscape. You will work ideation to completion for numerous deliverables to support a digital project. Finally, you will collaborate closely with the multiple teams within the client as well as the creative team.

The Digital Design Manager will manage a team of UI designers, 3D designers/animators, interactive designers and programmers, AEM front-end developers, and email campaign producers in a traditional corporate agency structure. 

The Digital Design Manager will also have digital front-end / UI design skills and a basic understanding of HTML/CSS/Javascript to manage and do hands-on projects. 

This position will be a part of a larger creative team working across several locations, with multiple stakeholders.


Responsibilities:
Meet and collaborate with clients and stakeholders on various digital project deliverables; present creative concepts to either Account Management and/or Clients with quality mockups, wireframes, comps, and prototypes when necessary

Communicate effectively with clients, designers, and developers

Develop detailed creative briefs, estimates, project plans including timelines for the client; properly scope and resource a complex digital project build; generate technical specifications for developers and other teams in the client

Lead, concept, design, and produce the full range of digital projects including HTML emails, AEM microsites, locally driven interactive kiosks for tradeshows, XR applications, 3D environments and animations, etc. Run both waterfall and agile-based project methodologies depending on project need, at times concurrently.

Stay current with trends and emerging technologies

Ensure work is completed to client expectations and specifications, while meeting multiple, competing timelines and tight budgets

Manage, lead and inspire a team of UI designers, 3D designers/animators, interactive designers and programmers, AEM front-end developers, and email campaign producers in a traditional corporate agency structure. 

Participate in leadership team activities with other functional area leads and the Creative Director to keep the studio running, provide ideas for process improvement, business development and marketing of the studio; support internal marketing efforts with email builds and maintaining our for the client website.


Skills:
Knowledge of and professional experience with the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment

Ability to translate and/or write a creative brief to generate brand-specific impactful designs that advance clients’ strategies and achieve marketing goals

Expertise in user interface design, file management, best practices for development

Ability to support debugging and writing code that works in older browsers and legacy projects

Exhibit a high level of accuracy with your own work, but also when reviewing the team’s work

Solve problems, test and adapt quickly

The ability to work a flexible schedule depending on specific deadlines and volume of projects, is required.

Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or comparable work experience
7+ years of experience in advertising, design, and/or marketing communications
Proven proficiency and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
Proven proficiency and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite programs
Understanding of HTML, CSS and web development to communicate with developers

Requirements:

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000

The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.
