Job Description:

Aquent's Client is seeking a user-obsessed technical writer to join the Customer Service Technologies team and help with an internal technical documentation project.

This project is high priority and high speed. You will need to move quickly, be able to juggle multiple topics at once, proactively reach out to people and search for answers, write technical documentation, and find ways to simplify over 100 pages of detailed technical documentation that exists today.

In this role, you will collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX stakeholders to understand, assess, and revise deeply technical documentation. You’ll also help write, update, and deliver new technical documentation for internal teams. Finally, you’ll need to create templates and guides designed to help engineers, product managers, and others write better documentation in the future. You will need to have an eye for detail, manage multiple projects at the same time, and get stakeholder alignment before publishing your work.

Note: This role is fully remote, and can be worked in any US time zone.

Responsibilities:
* Work with product managers, engineering, and subject matter experts to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
* Update existing internal documentation used for self-service, reducing hands-on support and effort
* Reorganize information and pages so information can be found more easily
* Handle rounds of content review and edits by subject matter experts and stakeholders, and present your recommendations and content to stakeholders
* Maintain, edit, and update content for accuracy and to address regional nuances
* Create content templates and engage with tech partners to help them improve their own writing
* Be able to learn new tools and search internal technical content repositories to answer your own questions about concepts and terminology

Basic Qualifications:
* 2+ years of technical writing experience focused on internal documentation for engineers and product managers

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
* Experience creating internal documentation that is easy to read and understand
* Editorial experience and proofreading skills
* Experience managing content approvals
* Exceptional writing, listening, and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally
* Demonstrated ability to be roll up sleeves, work independently and get the job done
