Job Description:

Overall Responsibilities: 

We are currently seeking to fill a human factors researcher role.  In this position, you will work to support Human Factors Lead researchers to measure human perceptual & cognitive responses.

Position Description:

The human factors researcher will develop research experiments to evaluate physical interactions with wearable devices. 

Objectives include the following:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand human response to visual, auditory, and haptic stimuli.

• Assessing biometric, sensory and ergonomic responses to various wearable devices.

• Moderating experiments & interacting with experimental participants.

• Clearly visualizing experimental results to stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Education: B.S. degree required with experience in Human Factors, Cognitive Neuroscience, HCI or related discipline.
  • Total years experience: 3+ years of experience in related fields.
  • Skills or processes candidates must have to be considered for the role:
    • Proficiency in psychophysics 
    • Expertise in statistics & data analysis 
    • Ability to code efficiently in Matlab/R/Python 
    • Skilled at conducting academic literature/database reviews S
  • Specific Tools or Applications experience 

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Education: MS or PhD degree preferred.
    • No industry experience required if candidate has a PhD
  • Familiarity with expert evaluations. 
  • Familiarity with human factors research on medical devices.
