Aquent Studios at Novartis is a custom-built agency partnership that provides scalability with world class talent to Novartis’ in-house Materials Approval Process team. This collaboration creates exciting opportunities to work with Aquent Studios at one of the most admired pharmaceutical companies in the world.

This is a great opportunity to apply your skills in digital design and print production design towards the creation of promotional materials for multiple Novartis brands – across broad therapeutic areas.

Ideal candidates should have the ability to work in a hybrid environment with code-generating programs and graphic design packages. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate across multi-disciplinary teams during project update phases. The Graphic Designer is responsible for design assignments, spec documentation, completed within assigned deadlines across multiple brands. The role works closely with an Art Director Lead and is responsible for ensuring brand imagery is captured and maintained accurately and according to brand guideline standards. The Designer builds expertise in brand content and style, has meticulous organizational skills and detail oriented and can apply these skills to successfully complete production builds of new/derivative promotional tactics over multiple channels.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Design or repurpose promotional materials following brand guidelines, templated design systems, and style guide catalogs.

  • Owning digital asset management & workflow

  • Create and/or source graphics for tactics

  • Heavily focused on the creation of banners, emails, displays and print brochures/die-line creation

  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS and digital media

  • Respond to quick turn requests with accuracy, error-free production

  • Meet all assigned deadlines, elevating/communicating any issues that could impact deadlines in a timely manner.

  • Accurately track time and project activity in job workflow tool; follow all internal Studio processes and standards

  • Manage proper archiving of finished files/assets.

  • Completion of the packaging of the final assets to provide to various creative and deployment partners

  • Always exhibits an excellent attitude/professionalism. Effectively represent Aquent’s values.

  • Be compliant in managing content/assets within a pharmaceutical environment

  • Resolve project issues effectively and collaboratively with the project team.

Skills and experience needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field required

  • 5 + years of Graphic Design experience including production skills in a design studio, internal creative department, or agency environment 

  • Possess expert understanding of multimedia design and experience building files for both print and digital

  • Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe XD), Sketch, and Microsoft Office

  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS, Dreamweaver, and After Effects is required

  • Working knowledge of Aprimo or Veeva PromoMats workflow and Asset Management, a plus

  • Working knowledge of image licensing/rights usage, a plus 

  • Required background in the development of Pharma promotional materials

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and accuracy required

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently under continual deadline constraints with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple quick-turn projects and changing priorities

  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of image licensing/rights usage that conforms to client’s expectations
