Client is seeking a Content & Channel Strategist to join our growing creative team. We are looking for someone with the right combination of business acumen, self-motivation, and knowledge of current digital and social media landscape to define and implement impactful content and channel strategies. You will be instrumental in seeing the potential of an idea and/or content production to extend beyond the obvious formats and placements – for paid, owned, earned and internal channels. You will also be responsible for maintaining an audit of current brand and product messaging on owned channels to ensure all updates are made when new communications and campaigns are implemented. Skills Required:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business goals and objectives, as well as user needs, to craft content plans around them
  • Define content formats and channel placements for brand and product communications and campaigns
  • Maximize content value by partnering with creative teams to further develop creative and content ideas beyond the obvious set of deliverables
  • Partner with UX/UI teams to define content plans for brand and product websites, landing pages, mobile apps, etc.
  • Evaluate content and placement performance in partnership with data and analytics teams to define future strategies
  • Understand current SEO processes to further develop and ensure creative teams are aware of keywords that should be incorporated
  • Audit existing owned and earned channels to define what needs to be updated when
  • Ensure content stays on strategy and is appropriate for the digital/social medium
  • Proactively stay informed about new digital and social media trends, as it relates to content formats and strategies, to inform creative teams and stakeholders on emerging opportunities
  • In all social media-specific concepts, be sure to understand various execution formats, character counts, and best practices for networks including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest and Snapchat
  • Be a respected creative partner and trusted teammate of your core creative team, internal partners and various agency teams
  • Deliver strategic presentations and content breifings for campaigns and content executions to internal and external audiences
  • Tell your friends you played a key role defining and influencing the future of electrified commercial transportation solutions

Skills Preferred:

  • Must be self-motivated, smart-working, well-organized, and resilient to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables
  • Ongoing drive to understand emerging techniques, trends and philosophies in technology, interaction, social media and storytelling through content
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert level attention to detail
  • Experience working in the automotive and/or technology industries (not mandatory)
  • Ability to prioritize work across engagements based on short and long-term needs
  • Bonus Skills: blogging, journalism, technical writing, proofreading, PR, UX, etc.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a related role within an agency or department: advertising, PR, digital, social media, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to lead content and channel strategy for a major brand

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional equivalent
